Iceland Photo Tour - Saturday/Sunday July 13th/14th, 2013

Our flight arrived shortly after 7:15 p.m. last night into Toronto, as we made our way on the last leg of our journey home.

We had some free time on Saturday until our 2 pm departure for the airport to explore and photograph around the city of Reykjavik.  It’s a beautiful place that offers up more than a days of shooting.  We all decided to visit the Hallgrimskirkja church both for interesting architecture photos and they have a great observation deck to photography the cityscape.

After our visit to the church, we took some time to wonder the shops and do a little more street photography before heading to the airport.

We’ve had a great time and now it’s time to head back to Canada.  Enjoy a selection of images from our final day in Reykjavik.  Thanks for following our trek on the Blog.

One of the fishing boats in Reykjavik harbour, Friday evening.

For sale to a good sailor. 1.2 million Krona which is $10,250 Canadian.

Interesting bicycle stand near the fishing wharf.

This is an old ship yard converted to a playground at the Maritime Museum.

The boat made for some great photos.

A ship in dry dock makes for an interesting background.

Near the first parliament buildings in Reykjavik.

This was an artist creating an art piece at the fountain in front of the old parliament.

An interesting use for a bike as a gate, near the Hallgrimskirkja Luthern Church.

Great window graphics for a book store.

Art sculpture in the shopping district.

Art made with an added touch.

Hallgrimskirkja church, the tower is 74.5 meters height, & 6th tallest building in Iceland.

The back of the clock in the church tower, interesting art work on the back of the clocks since our visit here last year.

View from the tower look back towards the Harpa performing arts centre.

Colourful benches near the church.

Vanessa goes old school.  That’s one big piece of film!!!

Heading home ... and so are we, it’s been a great tour to Iceland.
