Mont Tremblant Photo Tour Sept 29, 2012 Day Three
Photography at Park Omega, Montebello, Quebec

Another beautiful day for the Photo Trekkers ... Our group departed early this morning for Mont Tremblant which is 87 km from Montebello.  The closer we got to Mont Tremblant the stronger colours appeared.  Different to what we left in London.

Our first stop was below the village near the marina.  There were many photo opportunities from reflections on the lake, to the fast moving waters flowing over the dam all mixed together with the fall colours.

From the marina we headed into the Mont Tremblant ski village where we took the first of two gondola lifts to reach the plaza level of the village.  We had lunch then continued to the top of the mountain to the panoramic look out.  The combination of the colours and clear skies made for some great photo opportunities.  Once we reached the top the group split up and spent the afternoon visiting the various lookings and hiking trails.  Mont Tremblant is 2871 feet at the summit.
Tomorrow morning we will begin our drive back to London.  We have one more photo shoot in the morning after our departure from our hotel.  We will spend some time visting and photographing the Fairmont Montebello Hotel.  This historic hotel is a beautiful piece of architechure to photograph.  The Fairmont has been host to many events including a few years aga the G7 summit.

That's it for this evening from Montebello ... and one more note quidos goes out to Harold, Betty and Monica who decided this afternoon instead of taking the gondola, the hiked back down the mountain.  Almost 2 KM taking 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Enjoy this evenings photos.
