Weekend with the Wolves Photo Tour Itinerary - November 21 to 24, 2023

Tuesday, November 21st, 2023: Our four-day trek will begin Tuesday morning as we depart from the Best Western on Dundas Street in London, offering pick-ups in Woodstock and Toronto (other locations availabe upon request). Our journey to Montebello, Quebec will be via motor coach. We will stop for lunch and photography in Ottawa en route. Our travel time will be approximately eight hours and we will arrive at the Chateau Montebello around 5:00 p.m. There will be ample time to settle in have dinner, and enjoy the Chateau during our first evening. This is a beautiful retreat resort in Montebello, Quebec. The Chateau is know as the world's largest log cabin. The hotel itself offer us may photo opportunities.

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023: Breakfast buffet at the Cheatuea, then meet in the lobby where we will board our motorcoach and take the short drive to Parc Omega.

Once at Park Omega we will transfer from our coach to a park coach that is equipped with windows that open. Each photographer will have their own window. For the next few hours, we will spend time exploring the park and with the aid of our park driver locate and photograph the wolves and other animals set in a beautiful winter backdrop.

We will return to Park Omega main lodge for lunch. While at lunch there is opportunities to photopgraph small birds and other small animals usually found around the lodge.

After lunch we will head back into the park and photograph the wolves up-close at a wolf compound located deep in the park. This is a great location to spend time photographing the wolves with beautiful forest and hills for our backdrop.

Late aftenoon we will return to the lodage for time to relax and dinner. This we will host a night photography shoot out by the lake at the Chateau. Time exposures, pin wheels, light trails, etc. so don't forget to pack your tripod. We will hold a Photoshop session with time to review your work as we prepare for our second visit to Park Omega and pick up a few new Photoshop techniques with James. (B)

Thursday, November 23rd, 2023: Breakfast buffet at the Cheatuea, then meet in the lobby where we will board our motorcoach and take the short drive for our second vist to Parc Omega.

Once at Park Omega we will transfer from our coach to a park coach that is equipped with windows that open. Each photographer will have their own window. For the next few hours, we will spend time exploring the park and with the aid of our park driver locate and photograph the wolves and other animals set in a beautiful winter backdrop.

We will return to Park Omega main lodge for lunch. Again while at lunch there are opportunities to photopgraph small birds and other small animals usually found around the lodge.

After lunch we will take the 50 minute drive to Mont Tremblant. Set in the Laurentian Mountains the year round resort set on. the shores of Lake Tremblant will set the backdrop for a great afternoon photo shoot.

Late aftenoon we will return to the lodage for time to relax and dinner. This evening we will head out for second location night photo shoot ... don't forget to pack your tri-pod. (B)

Friday, November 24th, 2023: Morning breakfast, check-out and begin our journey back home. We will visit Plaisance Falls which is located about five kilometers north of the village of Plaisance. The 188-foot cascading waterfalls was once the site of a thriving mill town know as North Nation Mills. Today little remains of the village’s bustling past, except the spectacular waterfalls and the surrounding parklands, it has become a place of great photographic opportunity. We plan to make photos stops in Ottawa and Hull on both ways of our journey.

Enroute home we will stop for comfort breaks and lunch. Reaching Toronto by 6:00 p.m. and London by 8:00 p.m. Please note times are approximage due to traffic and weather. (B)

We will also have time to spend exploring the various walking trails the park has to offer. Each trail is located strategically with boardwalks and the best opportunities to view and photograph the natural surroundings, animals, and birds.

Montebello, Park Omega and Pleasance Water Falls is a great region for a weekend of photography. We look forward to you joining us as we experience and photograph the wolves of Park Omega.

The cost of our Weekend with the Wolves Photo Tour $739.00 - $25 membership price = $714.00 per person CAD based on double occupancy plus HST. Single supplement is available for an additional $270.00 CAD plus HST. This tour departs from London, Woodstock and Toronto, additional locations available upon request.

A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking and balance on September 20th, 2023. We recommend the purchase of travel and health insurance at the time of booking as this tour is out of the province.

You may also choose to pay over 12 monthy payments through our Uplift finance program estimate -  $66 per month. You select 12 month payment option under the payment section during registration.
