Monkeys, Iguanas and Night Owls - February 10, 2019
Our second day in Cano Negro was very busy with a visit to a newly built marsh tower observation and interpretive centre. We spent the first part of the morning photographing the swamp land and shore birds before taking a nature walk along the river. Many birds, iguanas and a howler monkey spent some time posing for us as we hiked the trail. After a unique visit to a local country restaurant for lunch we headed back to the wetlands for an afternoon cruise. On our way to meet our boat we came across a troop of spider monkeys which also made for some great photos.
After dinner the group went back out in search of Owls after dark. Our efforts were rewarded with opportunities to photograph several species.
Tomorrow we depart Cana Negro and head to Monteverde. From the Wetlands to the Mountains. Enjoy the images from today, below is the link to the gallery of images form todays activities.
