Costa Rica Blog Day 1 San Jose & Rain Forest
This morning we departed our hotel for a day of exploring and photography around the San Jose region. We started with a visit to a coffee plantation that has been family run for the past 125 years. It was interesting to see that the machinery is stilly driven by the water that runs down from the mountain rivers. Then on to the rain forest to spend the remainder of our day photographing the humming birds, frogs and waterfalls. The hike was beautiful. This evening we returned to our hotel for our welcome dinner. Friday we depart for our drive to the low land marsh region of Costa Rica called Cano Negro. Enjoy todays selection of images. Beautiful pics! The colorful frogs are my # 1 favorite. I wonder what color are the tadpoles.
