In Newfoundland, the journey can be as colourful as stories told around the kitchen table. As meandering as our thousands of kilometres of coastline. As surprising as a humpback whale breaching in the mist. Or as comforting as bakeapple jam. There are places that travel with you, wherever you go.
There are places on this earth that continue to live inside of you long after you’ve travelled on. Places where you’ll find yourself among the friendliest of unfamiliar faces, some of whom may become lifelong friends. Newfoundland sets the stage for that kind of experience.

Newfoundland Photo Tour Itinerary - June 10th to 19th, 2025
Day One: Tuesday June 10, 2025 Folk meeting in the London region we will meet at London Airport for our early morning departure to Pearson Airport. GTA and connecting guests will me at Pearson Airport. Our direct flight to Newfoundland via Air Canada departing 9:00 a.m. arriving into Deer Lake at 3:52 p.m. Group will be met by our coach and driver and travel to our hotel. Some free time to relax then an afternoon photo walk and sunset photography in Rocky Harbour. Welcome dinner. Overnight Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour. (D)
Day Two: Wednesday June 11, 2025 Breakfast and then out for our first day of photograpy in Gros Morne, we will also visit Noris Point, Lunch along the way as we continue explore to National Park. This afternoon we will sail up one of the fjord inlets at Western Brook Pond. Sunset photograpy in Rocky Harbour. Our second night at Ocean View Hotel, Rocky Harbour (B)
Day Three: Thursday June 12, 2025 Breakfast depart Rocky Harbour and travel to Bonavista, this is approximately a 4 hour 45 minute drive. We will have the afternoon to explore and photograph around the harbour of Banavista and take a hike out to Stellar's cove. The rock formations over looking the cove are amazing and always a possibility of icebergs. This evening sunset photography along the water front as we explore village. For the next three nights we will be staying in close-by Trinity as turn of the century village, steeped in history and beautiful architechture. The village appears like you have stepped bacl into the late 1800's. Overnight Rosewood, Trinity (B)
Day Four: Friday June 13, 2025 Breakfast then we will travel to Elliston for a morning Puffin shoot. Today will also be one of two opportunities to go whale watching with Sea of Whales zodiac tours. Possibility to see icebergs today. Lunch in Bonavista, explore Cape Bonavista Lighthouse and the nautral sea arches of Dungeons. More sunset opportunities this evening and over looking the water at Overnight Rosewood, Trinity. (B)
Day Five: Saturday June 14, 2025 Breakfast then drive to Trinity. If we did not get out whale watching on day four we will try again today with Sea of Whales zodiac tour company. Hike along Skerwink trail in Port Rexton. After lunch we will visit Elliston for another opportunity to photograph Puffins. Overnight Rosewood, Trinity. (B)
Day Six: Tuesday June 15, 2025 Breakfast then drive to Bay Roberts, today will be a day of photography filled with small villages, coastlines, landscapes and the possibility of icebergs. Arriving in Bay Roberts a colourful Newfoundland village mid afternoon for more photography and overnight at the Wilds Golf Resort. (B)
Day Seven: Thursday June 16, 2025 Breakfast then an early start as we drive to the Placentia area and on to Cape St. Mary’s (2.5hrs) to photograph the Gannets at the Gannet colony. Later in the afternoon we will travel on to St. John’s checking in late afternoon into the Delta hotel for the next three nights. (B)
Day Eight: Friday June 17, 2025 Breakfast then out to explore and photograph around St John’s. A morning walk along Jellybean alley to photograph the colourful houses along this iconic street. Later this morning a drive along the coast and take a walk out to visit Ferryland Light House if the weather cooperates we will have a picnic lunch overlooking the ocean. Retuning late afternoon to St. John's, overnight Delta, St John’s (B)
Day Nine: Saturday June 18, 2025 Breakfast then we will drive to Cape Spear which is approximately 40 minutes from St. John’s. Spend the morning exploring and photographing the lighthouse, whales in the bay, hiking trails. Drive to Petty Harbour, for lunch fish and chips is suggested. Opportunity to photograph local fisherman then continue our drive down to Bay Bulls and Witless Bay. Whale watching onboard O’Brians Whale watching boat and bird colony. Tonight we will hold our farewell dinner. Overnight Delta hotel. (B) (D)
Day Ten: Sunday June 19, 2025 Breakfast a morning visit to Signal Hill, then a lunch opportunity while visiting Qidi Vidi for our last photography opportunities of the tour in the fishing village before heading to the airport. Our late afternoon return Air Canada flight direct from St. John's to Toronto arriving at 6:30 p.m. Board our coach for the return drive to London arriving in London at approximately 9:00 p.m. (B)
Newfundland offers up spectacular landscapes and wildlife photo opportunities. The temperatures in late May and early June range from lows of 10 C to 14 C to highs of 16C to 20C. Quite a few locataions on this tour are coastal when choosing your clothing for this tour, think of items you can take to dress in layers.
Pre-tour Information Night: As with all our photo tours, we will hold a photo information night approximately three weeks prior to departure. We will present the final itinerary, travel suggestions, what gear to pack, and hand out all related travel documents. The pre-tour presentation is designed to give our photographers all the information needed for our trek. This also allows a chance for you to meet your fellow travellers, and host. As the tour date approaches we will send out an email invitation to the registered guests.

The cost of Newfoundland Photo Tour is $4,975.00 per person CAD based on double occupancy including air via Air Canada, plus air taxes of $277.97 CAD plus HST. Single supplement is available for an additional $990.00 CAD.
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due at the time of booking, with a second non refundable deposit of $400.00 due December 20, 2024. Balance due 60 days before departure April 11th, 2025. We recommend the purchase of travel and health insurance as this tour takes us out of the province.
