Costa Rica Blog Day 3 Wetlands of Cano Negro.
This morning we took an early morning cruise deep into the wetlands that surround Cano Negro. Many water birds spend the early morning fishing and basking in the first rays of sunshine. The wetlands and feeding rivers are higher than usual due to more rain than expected for this time of year. This is currently Costa Rica summer time. Still very interesting and everything is so lush and green. After lunch we spent some time in the surrounding gardens photographing small birds. A very colourful day for sure. We have another full day here tomorrow and will do another wetlands cruise later in the day tomorrow looking for different species of birds.
