Costa Rica Blog Day 4 Wetlands, Birds, Monkeys, Cooking & More
Our second day in Cano Negro was very busy with a visit to a newly built marsh tower observation and interpretive centre. We spent the first part of the morning photographing the swamp land and shore birds before taking a nature walk along the river. Many birds, iguanas and a howler monkey spent some time posing for us as we hiked the trail. After a unique visit to a local country restaurant for lunch we headed back to the wetlands for an afternoon cruise. On our way to meet our boat we came across a troop of spider monkeys which also made for some great photos. Tomorrow we head to Monteverde.
