First Day in Machu Picchu
We departed Sacred Valley early this morning by train and took the one hour and forty minute train ride to Machu Picchu. Today was a very interesting weather day at the ruins as cloud cover moved in out and with a slight amount of rain early in the morning changing to sun and clouds later in the morning. It was a beautiful day to experience the ancient ruins, the light, clouds and colours were constantly changing. Early in the afternoon we returned to the village below. Tomorrow we will be going back up to the ruins and this time hike up to Sun Gate for a very different view of Machu Picchu.
