Weekend with the Wolves - Day 2 & 3
Wow what a great weekend of photography and an amazing and fun group of photographers to travel with. Saturday morning we departed for Parc Omega arriving ahead of the opening in order to get going before the other morning viewers arrived.
We split into two groups and the first group headed out on the safari bus to photograph in the park. The second group headed out to the wolf deck deep in the park and were rewarded with a very active pack of grey wolves. They are just coming into heat so the pecking order is being tested and the action gave our photographers many opportunities. We continued through the day exploring the park then headed back to the Chateau for dinner and our night shoot.
This evening, we held a night photography shoot. We took a series of time exposure shots photographing glow sticks and pin wheels made from burning steel wool. A great evening and plenty of interesting shots. A special thanks to Chris Gillespie from the Halton Hills Camera Club for his help and the club members that joined us for the weekend.
Sunday morning after breakfast and a few more shots around the lodge we departed for Plaisance water falls. We to a short hike into the viewing area, a soft snow fall this morning made for some great images. Plenty to photograph as we followed the trail. Later in the morning we boarded our coach and began our journey home.
Thanks to Dave Chidley my co-host for the weekend, as always fun to travel with you, and great to have you along to share your knowledge and passion for photography. Thanks for following our Weekend with the Wolves and if you enjoyed the photos and want to join us mark your calendar as our next weekend tour is February 22nd to 24th, 2019.
