Costa Rica Blog Day 6 - Wed February 12th, 2020
We were up and out early today as we headed out by boat on the waterways that surround the wetlands. What a rewarding morning of photography, the water birds were out in full force and since it was at sunrise they were busy looking for food. We were also fortunate to see a squirrel cuckoo this morning. For the balance of the morning we photographed small birds.
After lunch we headed back to the river and photographed more shore birds and then this evening went out for a night shoot of owls. We found the black and white owl busy hunting. Then we came across a great grey poo to bird. It is not an owl even thought it looks similar. They are very much on other own one bird covering many square miles. What a fun night! We are in Cano Negro district for one more day. More updates to follow. Enjoy todays gallery of images.
