Israel Blog - Dead Sea, Masada and Jerusalem.
Monday October 29th, 2019
First thing this morning we took a dip or should I say float in the Dead Sea, it was a refreshing way to start the day. Our first stop of the days was Masada. The fortress and palaces built by King David. It is believed that the famous battle between the roman forces and Jewish zealot took place there in the 1st Century. We reached the top of the fortress by the cable car, from bottom to the top 400m. After lunch we drove to Jerusalem. We will then travel to the Walls of the Old City and enter through the Jaffa gate. We walked along Via Dolorosa with its 14 Stations of the Cross. Visited the wailing wall and visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the holiest shrine in the Christendom. Another interesting day as our Israel tour continues. To check out todays images please link below.
