Madagascar Day 4
Ranomafana National Park
Today we visited Rabamafana National Park, which covers 41600-plus hectares of tropical rainforest and makes up one of Madagascar’s most popular, and spectacular, national parks. As we explored the many trails we were in search for the Golden Bamboo Lemurs. The Golden Bamboo Lemur is critically endangered and there is thought to be only 200 living in the park. They were rediscovered here in 1986 after being thought to be extinct. Today we were fortunate enough to see 3 all huddled together in a tree. We saw many chameleons today including the Parson’s chameleon, the Leaf, and the Calumma. If was a great experience. This afternoon we arrived in Fianarantsoa and tomorrow we will depart for Ranohira, enroute visiting Anja Park. Enjoy todays images.Click here to see our Day 4 Madagascar Photo Gallery
