Monreale and a visit to Count Fedrico Villa
Positioned high above the Conca d”Oro are the mosaic covered walls of the cathedral. A beautiful set high on a ridge overlooking the valley and city below. Many great photos in and around the cathedral grounds. We then traveled into Palermo city centre and visited the home of Count and Countess Federico. The countess was our host and took us on a tour of their villa which has been in the family since the 16th century. We there were treated to a light lunch and wines from the family vineyard. It was an excellent experience. We had some free time this afternoon as the group could venture out and take some final photos of Palermo before we move on tomorrow. Our next destination is the beautiful city of Siracusa. We will be there for the next three nights. Enjoy todays selection of images by clicking on the gallery link below.
